I ordered some things also, including a 40-lb slam ball from Amazon. I think their delivery slave will find it interesting.,

Let's hope the delivery guy won't just slam it onto your driveway. That's why my wheels will be delivered to work.

When I managed a warehouse, we’d periodically have one UPS driver leave something on our dock for another driver to pick up. We didn’t mind, the UPS drivers were cool and we often had hundreds of pickups for them a day. Well, o ne time they left a fairly small box (think traditional Kleenex box) , and I had to move it slightly. Damn thing weighed no joke 100 lbs. Turns out it was going to one of those “Buy Your Gold” places, and was filled to the brim with gold.

So hopefully a 40 lb ball won’t be too bad for them.

I like loading up Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes with very dense things. They’re allowed up to 70 pounds. I’ve sent thirty or forty that way, but I have to line the inside of the box with heavier cardboard.

I used to do that for particularly dense freight and a different  job where I managed the warehouse! The mail person never seemed very amused.

I mailed my cousin some bullets -- just the projectile part -- and I used the Priority Mail Flat Rate Tyvek envelop. I put them inside of each other and used about five envelopes. Probably weighted about 8-10 pounds all together.
